HTPCInfo Gauge Image Creator - Thumbs UP
Simple, elegant, perfect results. As png output with transparent base, compositing more complex images is easy
[I have a circular rather then linear volume display, added digital volume read out to level image in 100 steps in less than 2 mins with this tool and 3 line shell script]

Highly recommended if you want some for of gauge - don't have to limit them to MePo usage.
