I got fed up having to re-scan for channels and trying to keep my channels in order so I decided to write my first Mediaportal plugin to handle this task for me.

Due to work commitments i've not been able to spend much time on this. Still working on it when I can and I'll keep this updated on progress.

Features :

• Rename channels to friendly names
• Create groups by genre
• Hide channels which are not "active"
• Delete channels which are dead

To do :

• Full satellite tuning setup via web (rather than scanning using your dish)
• Schedule a check for channel movement/addition/deletion
• Download channel icons
• Group as per local providers e.g. Sky UK
• Add more websites (kingofsat.net is only working one at present)
• Intelligent channel numbering
